Day 48 - NY Taxi

In honor of my trip to NYC tomorrow I am wearing my NY Taxi socks. These definitely didn't come from New York. Pretty suer I got them at the New York New York casino in Las Vegas.

Looking foward to heading south tomorrow. It's gonna be a pretty big weekend. Hanging out with Bridget and Meghan Friday and Saturday. Then meeting up with Elyse on Saturday night. Have to really step up my game, since she's a night owl and will prolly wanna be out til the wee hours. Then Sunday Elyse and I are gonna meet up with Autumn so we can watch Ian run the marathon. I am so looking forward to seeing everyone and spending time in New York. I haven't been there in a long while. Think the last time was with Andrea at the beginning of 2008.

However the thing I least look forward to is the trip there. I am taking a bus from Boston over. I am sure it will be fine, just long. And the early trip to South Station to get the bus doesn't sound like fun, especially since it's suppossed to be raining in the morning. Once I get on the Orange Line I should be good though. Just hope the bus to get there is running on time tomorrow. Don't want me and my suitcase to be soaked.

Don't think I will be able to post when I am gone, but I will bring back pictures :)  Til Monday....

Day 47 - Blue Flowers

I could have sworn I posted earlier today, but apparently not.

Don't have much to report today. Finally starting to feel somewhat better. Thankfully! Spent some quality time cleaning. FYI, for anyone who hasn't tried the Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Sprayer thing you totally should. Works pretty awesome. So now I have a sparkling clean bathroom :)

Thinking I wanna start having some special features on the blog. Not sure what exactly. I was thinking maybe a Top Five list once a week. Or some more pictures.  Not sold on anything yet. Definitley open to suggestions.

Day 46 - Sunflower Pooh

Winnie the Pooh apparently likes to wear overalls, at least according to my socks. These have been a part of my collection for a long time. They are very worn on the bottom, see the white spot on the sole. I won't throw out socks until they have holes in them.

Still feeling sicky pants today. I would really like to be able to breath better. Congestion is not my friend. : (

Been doing a lot of cooking lately. Last night I made some super yummy Hot and Sour Soup. It tastes almost as good as the one from Szcheuan in Naples. No matter where I've lived or what I've tried, That place still remains my all time favorite Chinese restaurant. No one does Hunan Shrimp quite a good. Haven't found a Chinese place I love in Melrose yet. They are ok, but nothing fantastic. And being a food snob, I like fantastic. Just talking about Chinese food makes me want an egg roll. Maybe I will have to order some this afternoon. Hmmmm.....

Day 45 - Lilac

Had to bust out my winter boots this morning. It is super chilly pants.

Spent the day doing some errands. Went to two of my favorite places, the library and Target. Made a stop at PetSmart and the grocery store too. Big day for me! Still feeling under the weather so accomplich anything makes me feel accomplished. Gonna make some homemade Hot & Sour Soup for dinner tonight. Hopefully it'll help clear out my sinuses. Need to get better cause I am off to NYC this weekend to meet up with Bridget and watch Ian run in the marathon. Should be fun :)

Day 44 - Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!!  I am not giving out Halloween candy this year. Since I don't really like candy I don't want to have any leftovers around the house. Plus since I am on a tiny dead end street I doubt there will be too many kids ringing my doorbell.
