Day 37 - Blue Stripes

Two days of stripes in a row. Even got my sweet boy Miles in the picture too. Any picture can be made better with kitties!

Today is the first day since the cruise that I am wearing real pants. Having lunch with Elyse soon. Then heading over to check on the patient.

I need to spend some quality time at home this weekend. My DVR is so about to explode. It's been erasing shows which makes me so sad. I haven't watched any of Dexter, NCIS, or The Good Wife yet this season. And I have 4 episodes of Detroit 1-8-7 taped. Not even sure I like that show yet. I have no idea how I would have been able to keep up with all these shows if I was working. I can barely do it now and I'm not spending my days in a sad little cubicle. Granted this week has been really busy. Hopefully I can get some quality time with my DVR soon!!

Day 36 - Stripes

Simon convinced me to wear these socks today. I don't know how he did it but they were laying on my floor this morning. The sock drawers were all closed and taped shut. It's like he willed them out. I am still in shock.

Today is another late posting day I know. I was helping Gimpy Scrappy all morning. This week my schedule has been wake up , gym, bring Scrappy lunch and keep him company til his roommate comes home. Today I had to pull a localizing pain tube out of his knee. That was intersting. We also had to rewrap his all whole knee. I can't even imagine how uncomfortable he is with his knee locked in place all day. Makes me think my foot injury this summer wasn't so bad.

Day 35 - Purple Flowers

Sorry I am so late posting. I have been helping my friend Scrappy the last two days. He had ACL surgery yesterday and is pretty immobile. Since I don't have anywhere to be during the day I took him for the surgery yesterday and hung out with him this afternoon. Have the same thing planned for tomorrow.  After this summer, I know how boring being helpless at home alone can be.

Well I am sure you are all waiting to hear about our JASS adventure. The cruise was such a great time. We ate, drank, played bingo, went to a wine tasting, made fun of other people on the ship, ordered room service, saw the cheesy show, made friends with a 13year old, made the crew laugh, and just generally had a great time. Stacey and John even made it on the on board TV with their dancing. Some of the most fun times were posing for the pictures with the photographers on the ship. We cracked up so much during the photo shoot below. You can probably tell that from our smiles.

JASS Cruise - Day 4

Having to get off the boat and head home today : (  Saying goodbye is never fun. Back in 2006 we had to say goodbye to monthly JASS events, when Amy moved to Hawaii. We busted open the dues box and had a yummy last brunch together at the Peabody in Orlando. Here are some pictures from it.

Then when I moved to Boston, we had to say goodbye to monthly JSS events.

I am so thankful that even with Amy and I out of Orlando, we are still able to have our yearly JASS trip. I can only imagine where we'll end up next year. And what sort of adventures JASS 2010 brought. I can't wait to tell you about them when I return tomorrow.

JASS Cruise - Day 3

Today we are off to Cococay, Royal Carribbean's private island. I have a feeling we are as far away from people as possible.

For your viewing pleasure, here's a picture of Amy, Stacey, and I in our bikinis with Bob and Julie. We were by the pool in Vegas a few years back. Don't we look good :)

And me in my Cowboy gear.
