Day 29 - I Love Paws

Another pair of my purple paw socks. I wore them today for my volunteer shift at the cat shelter. There were quite a few sweet kitties there today. There was one little gray girl named Olivia, who sat on my lap, climbed on my back and didn't want me to leave. It's so sweet. Of course no kitties are as sweet and good as the ones I have at home. I had to change my pants to get the shelter smell off, but now my Mia has found herself a good sleeping spot. When I first got her she wasn't much of a cuddler, but now she loves sitting on my lap and snuggling up to me at night. I love having my girl so close. It's one of my most favorite things.

Don't have much planned for tonight, past what you see here. Me, the couch, Mia, and my DVR. Good night at home if you ask me :)

Puzzle Done!!!

Yeah I am finally finished!!! It was super duper hard!! Think I must have worked on it for at least 8 hours today alone. I totally beat you Gino!!

Day 28 - Cream with Flowers

These are also socks from High School. They are a weird color so they don't get worn much. Since I am just wearing them around the house, I figure I should give them a go. Still feeling pretty lazy today. I am determined to finish this puzzle though. It's really hard. It's a picture of a junk drawer filled with crap so there's nothing really to focus on to put together. Looks a lot easier on the box than it really is. But since it only cost $3 I can't really complain, it's been a good source of entertainment.

Speaking of junk drawers, I am gonna tell you my stance on them. I am not a fan. They are usually a total mess and full of things that should probably just be trashed. Things in my kitchen have a place and go in that place. I have no need for a drawer full of crap. If something needs a home, I find it one. Granted I do have a drawer with some randomish items in it ( take out menu, large less used kitchen tools, and matches) but they are in the place they belong. I would never call it a junk drawer.

Day 27 - Black and Gray

I am a serious slacker. Uploaded this yesterday but never posted any words. Having a hard time getting myself motivated to do much. Mostly been going to the gym, watching TV, and working on this hard puzzle. Trying to motivate this weekend.

Day 26 - Green Flowers

These socks I am 95% sure I have had since high school. They don't get worn too much as I am not much of a green wearer. I am starting to wear green more. My fashion consultant, Bridget, has shown me how.  Today they are a nice compliment to my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shirt and lazy pants. I was going to put my pjs on after coming home from working out but was advised that pjs aren't acceptable on weekdayd til fter 4. Think I tend to agree.

Don't have much planned for the day. Gonna do laundry, get my insurance set up, watch some DVR, and do some puzzling. My cousin Gino and I bought the same puzzle on Monday night. It's a race to see who can finish first. He has to go to class in the evenings so hopefully that'll give me some advantage. But he did start last night at 11 while I was sleeping, so who knows. Wish me luck!

Lunch Time!!

Day 25 - Striped Sleep Socks

Since I plan to do a lot of napping today I am just wearing sleep socks. They are fuzzy and warm to keep my feet warm in the winter. It's pretty chilly today so they should do the trick. This last week of visitors, Simon running away, and losing my job has made me super tired and exhausted. It's so nap time.

PS. I somehow didn't post this yesterday 10/5 as planned. Oops. So you are getting two posts today.

Missing Days

Sorry I haven't been posting the last few days. My family was in town from Florida, my cousin got married, and my sweet boy Simon went missing for 24 hours. So it's been a pretty eventful few days. The wedding was beautiful. So happy for Christina and Mike. I enjoyed visiting with the family. Absolutely nothing went according to plan, but it was a good visit. Losing Simon was one of the most devastating, heart wrenching things that has ever happened to me. I set up the porch and vestibule full of food, his litter box, my dirty clothes, his bed, anything I can think of that smelled like home. It worked and he came inside and scratched on the apartment door last night at 12:45am. I can't express how happy I am to have him back!! This has been one hell of a week.

Anyway, I will get back to socking tomorrow. Probably won't be posting as early in the morning as before, since I am jobless. Doubt I'll be dressed before noon :)
