Birthday Present Socks

Well the rain sorta changed today's plans. So instead of sightseeing or Duck Touring I got to open my birthday presents ( and kick everyone's ass in Scene It for the Wii. ) I got these two pairs as part of my gifts. A grey argyle pair from Alex and some soft sleepy socks from Bridget. Oh how I love socks!!! Thank you!!!!

And here's a special shout out to both of them to help me decide to do the blog. And to Alex for being a loyal reader. I know you slack some days Bridget :)

Day 24 - Stripes

Today was suppossed to be a day of sightseeing with the fam. But with all the rain heading this way we had a change of plans. They are on the Orange Line on their way to Melrose today. Still going to a Duck Tour this afternoon. Hopefully we won't get too wet!

Get to open presents this afternoon. Excited for that!!

Day 23 - Purple

Took me a while to put on socks today since I didn't have to go to work. Going to pick up my family at the aiport in the next 10 minutes, so I had to get dressed. We are heading out for dinner in the North End for a late bday dinner for me. I am looking forward to it.

Still haven't really thought about or fully processed the whole getting laid off thing. I just wanna enjoy my family and Christina's wedding then worry about getting a new job and reading over the obscene amount of paperwork I got yesterday.

What a week.......

Day 22 - Hello Kitty

Don't know if you can tell from this picture but Hello Kitty has some sparkle around her. I know these socks have been part of my collection for quite some time. Prolly not as far back as high school but college.

Wow I'm tired today. My action packed visit with Christine wore me out. Good news is today is my only day in the office this week. My parents and sister get into town tomorrow afternoon for my cousin's wedding. So this is gonna be an action packed week as well. I know I will be excited once I get over the sleepyness.

Birthday Socks #2

Getting ready to head out to meet my peeps for dinner. Changed into a new outfit and some new socks. So Mickey will be celebrating with me tonight. :)

Day 21 - Strawberry Shortcake

Happy Birthday to Me!! Having lunch with Christine before she heads back to Florida, then dinner with my peeps. Gonna be a good day! I always try to make my birthday something special. As a rule, I never work or cook on my bday. I often treat myself to the spa, but since I did that a few weeks back, today is just gonna be a day of friends, eating and drinking. All of which suits me perfectly!

Over the years I have use my birthday as a reason to vacation. For 25, Jen and I went to Vegas. I spent my 28th in San Diego with Carlin. And next year, my 33rd, Jen and I are planning a trip to Portland and Seattle. Then in 2013, for my 35th, her 40th, we are taking a European Adventure. I am so excited for that!! I love birthdays and vacation!!

Day 20 - Chimps

Wearing these today in honor of my visitor, Christine, who thought these were scary looking from the sock bandit pictures. I must admit they are a little odd. The chimp is kinda real looking. Think maybe I got them at a zoo or something. Don't know for sure though. 

The plans for today are to hit up the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Had plans to take a road trip, but with the grody weather figured it'd be better to be inside all day. Should be a good time.

Day 19 - Yellow Tigers

Survived the Food Fest yesterday. It was a great time. We ate an obscene amount of food. Chicken Wings, Steak Tips, Ice Cream Filled Cupcake, Potato Chips, Clams, Oysters, Meatballs, Cheese, Ribs, Hot Dogs, Pumpkin Risotto, Cannoli, Soup, Candy, Chowder, Apple Pie, Pizza, etc. Plus Beer. It was yummy and defintiely made my belly full! I can't wait til next year!!!!!

Today Christine and I are off to pick some apples, maybe walk around Salem, and then head into the North End of Boston for some Italian for dinner. Another fun day ahead. Yeah for visitors and vacation!!

Gotta give a shout out to my birthday buddy, Jen!! Hope you have a great one!!!! Can't wait til our trip to Seattle and Portland for our birthdays next year!!
