Day 18 - Purple Paw Print

Food Festival Day has finally arrived!!! This is one of my most favorite days all year. Christine and I are prepping to go get 10am chicken wings and beer before the fest starts. Breakfast of Champions!!! Wahoo!!

This is my first Food Fest without Bridget and Christina. It's gonna be very sad. I have faith Christine will be a good eater and pull through for the team, but my team will be missed. No excuses you will both be at next year's Phantom Gourmen Food Festival with me!!!

Day 17 - Polka Dots

The weather here isn't making it easy to wear my fun socks. Yesterday was 80 and looks the same for today and tomorrow. Ugh! I really like the cooler weather. After Satursday hopefully it will cool down again so I can get back to my more fun socks.  And then in a few months it'll be knee sock time. Wahoo!!

Only an hour til I pick Christine up from the airport. I need to finish setting up her dining room guest "suite". I am kinda surprised how well an air mattress fits in there. So excited for the weekend to start!!!

Day 16 - White + Miles

Since these socks aren't all that exciting I decided to add something exciting to the picture. What better than Mr. Miles!! This is him "helping" me change the sheets on the bed.

Not feeling so hot today. My head is pounding and I am exhausted. Gotta rally through it cause Christine is coming tomorrow!! We have all kinds of good stuff on the agenda, Food Festival, Apple Picking, Pasta Eating, Zoo visiting, Mexican Food Munching, Boat Riding, and some kind of road trip. I CANNOT wait!!!! Almost 24 hours til she lands in Boston.......

Day 15 - Gray Stripes

I can't determine if this is going to be a good or bad day. So far it's been quite a mix of the two.
Simon woke me up early with his 4am sock drawer scratching. Bad. But got out of bed early enough to work out. Good. Then Mia puked on my shoes before I could put them on. Bad. Happened to catch a Breakfast Club reunion on Good Morning America. Good. Got rejected from 2 more car inspection places cause of my window tint. Bad. Finally got taken off restriction and released from my foot doctor. Good. Got a temporary inspection sticker for my car, but have pay to get tint removed. Bad.  Only 2 days til Christine arrives. Good. 

Hope to make it through the rest of the day with more good than bad to add to the list.

Day 14 - Blue Plaid

You may recognize these as one the pairs I bought a the Gap two weeks ago.

I am a little scatterbrained today. I left home without my chapstick!!! I had a mini freak out in the car. I am most addicted to chapstick than probably anything in the world. Diet Pepsi is a close second but I could get my caffeine elsewhere. There is no substitution for chapstick. That being said I am a little particular about what brands of chaps I'll use.  I prefer Avon. It's the got the best texture and is the moistest. I have a stockpile of them at home so I never run out. I'd die if I ran out of chapstick. No joke! That's also why I keep spares around. Just in case I forget my primary pocket chaps. I have one in my purse, one in my car, one at my desk, one in my nightstand, and one in my coffee table. I never like to be without it. The spares do in a pinch, but they are spares cause the flavors are subpar. It looks like today I will be using the "Sparkling Raspberry" from my desk. The flavor isn't bad, but the glitter isn't my favorite. Oh well, at least I won't have to die today :)

Day 13 - Pink Polka Dots

It's Monday again : ( But I'm only working 4 days this week! Definitely excited about that!! Can't wait for Christine to come visit!

Woke up this morning around 4am. Not cause I wanted to but because my Simon was acting crazy. He was scratching at the taped up sock drawers, trying to pull a bin off my shelf, dragging laundry bag into middle of my room, knocking over my laptop case, then he jumps on bed and attacks Miles. I can't believe my shy, quiet kitty is such a terror in the middle of the night. It's like he's possessed by the same thing that makes my smoke alarm so crazy.

Day 12 - Dirty Monkey

Done too much for a Sunday already! Sundays should be lazy. Trying to get everything ready and pretty for my guests next week. I am so excited for Christine to get here on Friday. And then my parents and sister the Thursday after that!

So my new smoke alarm is making me crazy just as the last two did It just beeped AGAIN!!!! I even bought it a brand new battery today. I have no idea what's possessing it. I should really just live without one, but somehow that doesn't seem safe. What in the world am I supposed to do? I can't stand the beeping. It is driving me absolutely CRAZY!!
